Texas author, Peg Sundberg "Cowgirl Peg", revisited Summerland Elementary today to talk about her new book. If your child purchased a book, some titles were sent home today with students. Out of stock titles will be mailed to Summerland as soon as Peg gets back to Texas. If you preordered Cowgirl Peg's new book, Cowgirl Peg & the Devil Scorpion, it will be shipped to school around Thanksgiving when it's published.
Our Keep the Quote winner this week is kindergartener, Brinley!
Brinley is an absolute ray of sunshine! Her bright, positive, happy energy brightens the classroom daily. Brinley is always eager to welcome & greet her friends as well as be their cheerleader. Brinley is always handing out compliments and "I love yous" to her classmates and adults in the building. She definitely shares her happiness with those around her!
Congratulations to Everly (4th) for being today's Bobcat Catch of the Day! She is nominated for her kindness - privately telling her teacher to clip up classmates seen doing kind, good things! What a great example of selfless kindness!

6 FBLA members traveled to Wayne State College and competed in a variety of business competitions. Congratulations to Emma King for placing 3rd in Job Interview.

Summerland PK-12 MTSS Team Wows Attendees at the NeMTSS Summit in Kearney!
Both the Elementary and 7-12 MTSS Teams were selected to present their successful journeys in the MTSS process!

Congratulations to Brekkan (6th) and Brantley, Kendyl, Shaylah, and Makayla (5th) for being today's Bobcat Catches of the Day! Brekkan is nominated for his kindness and responsibility in helping unload a kitchen delivery. Brantley, Kendyl, Shaylah, and Makayla are nominated for their kindness and responsibility for volunteering to help pick up the band room before school. Way to go!
There will be a change to the Calendar for next week. The JrH VB team will now be playing at St. Mary's on Friday, Oct 17th at 2:00 and NOT on Oct 16th. Please make that change on your calendar! It will be A Team followed by B Team!
The Cross Country JrH and HS Teams will be at SUMMERLAND Golf Course today!!! They will be participating in the GNAC XC Meet! Times are:
4:00 HS Girls, 4:40ish HS Boys, 5:20ish JrH Girls and 5:45ish JrH Boys. Times are rolling and approx!
