The 7-12 MTSS team hosted a transition to JH day for the 6th graders today. The soon-to-be 7th graders met their teachers, heard a little bit about what to expect in each class, and explored the JH/HS wing of the school. It was a great day!

Just a reminder that in order for any student grades 7-12 to be able to participate in athletic events at Summerland, they MUST have an up-to-date Physical on file in order to start practice! Athletes are also REQUIRED to have an up-to-date Baseline Impact Test taken before they can start practice as well! At Summerland we are giving them to all 6th, 8th and 10th graders within the next week! This will be good for 2 years! If you take it at school, you do not need to retake it at the clinic when you get your physical. If for some reason, you take it at the clinic and not at school, please make sure that the Doc/Nurse, notes that on your physical form! The forms are linked:

Beginning today at approximately noon, road construction will begin at the school intersection going North toward Orchard. They will close the mile section they are working on each day. It will not be open to through traffic from 7:30 to 5:30 each day following. Plan accordingly, as you will have to detour around the section to the East or West.
From the 14th to the 16th, they will be doing approach work on the bridge south of the school on the Orchard-Clearwater road. This could cause closings between 8:00 and 3:00.
