Good evening, due to the continued snow, wind, and road conditions there will be NO SCHOOL at Summerland Public School tomorrow, January 12. There will be no extra curricular activities. Tomorrow night at 5:30 there will be an informational meeting regarding the start up of the Summerland Public School Foundation. The meeting will be held in the commons area near the lunchroom entrance. Laura Ferguson will be conducting the meeting along with Ed Nordby. The JrH Basketball games for Thursday vs EPPJ have been moved up in time. Girls JrH will begin at 2:30 with boys to follow at around 3:45. Those games will be played in the Aux Gym!

For those driving to school please allow extra time and observe winter driving conditions. The forecast calls for colder temperatures so dress appropriately and take your time so your arrive safely.

There has been a time change for Girls JV Basketball on Tuesday, Jan 9th vs Creighton at Summerland! In order for the girls to be able to play 2 8 min quarters, we need to change the Girls Jv time to 4:00 in the main gym! Boys JV will still be at around 4:45 with Girls Varsity to follow at 6:00 and Boys Varsity at 7:30!
Our last KTQ winner of 1st semester was 6th grader, Grace Ahlers!
During a Den activity at MMM, Grace exemplified what kindness is all about. She spent most her time helping the younger students in her Den. She read the paper to them and asked them questions to help come up with ideas to draw. She went to these students not just once but multiple times to help. Not only did she show kindness, but she exemplified what a 6th grade role model to our lower elementary should be! Grace's kindness made others feel like it was Christmas in the moment.
