Kindergartners learned all about Presidents' Day today!
Attention Summerland K-6 grades: We are participating in the Kindness Games from February 17 - April 18!
Everyone needs to be on the lookout for acts of kindness that we see, do, hear, or read about! The goal is for kids and adults to recognize and share the kindness - both in school and at home!

(or the QR code below). Find "Summerland Elementary" in the menu, choose the grade of the student involved, and post as many as you can each day!
Adults can post outside of school, students can post on their own, or staff members can post on behalf of students. If you are not comfortable with technology, simply reach out to a staff member to report the kind act you saw!
While the contest gives us a chance at a cash prize, the students will also be competing in-house. The grade level that has posted the MOST kind acts come April 18 will win a fun prize from Mrs. Meyer!
Together, let's make recognizing and reporting kindness a daily activity!

The Lady Bobcat BB Team will start Sub-District action today at Crofton! The Lady Bobcats will take on Norfolk Catholic at 5:00!!
Due to the extreme temperatures Summerland Public Schools will have a 10:00 am late start on Wednesday and Thursday 2-19-2025 and 2-20-2025. No morning pre-school, all preschoolers will attend in the afternoon. Buses will run accordingly. Also Donuts with Dudes will now be held on Thursday, February 27th!! Grades PreK (am) - 6th Grade will be at 7:45 and PreK (pm) will be at 2:45.

The Bobcat Wrestling State Qualifiers are headed to Omaha CHI! Girls Wrestling will be today and tomorrow and Boys will begin on Thursday and finish Saturday!

The basketball game scheduled for tonight at Crofton against Norfolk Catholic has been postponed to tomorrow at 5:00 pm. Games that were scheduled for Tuesday night will now be played Wednesday evening and the subdistrict final will remain on Thursday.
The boys state wrestling t-shirt order is due this morning by 10:00 am. Please email danroeber@summerlandbobcats.org with all orders.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped out with district wrestling yesterday! A big thanks from Karen and Carla as well, to all who helped out in the concessions stand. It is appreciated!
Yesterday 3 of our FCCLA members visited Arbor Care in Neligh to help with their annual Valentine's Day party and cake testing. 💕 This rounded out FCCLA week with their community service project.
Boys District Wrestling is happening TODAY at Summerland!! The Doors will open at 9:30. The walking track will be standing room ONLY. No lawn chairs will be allowed due to fire hazard! Spectators should enter through the Athletic Entrance door #30 on east side of the school or the main entrance to the south of the building. Admission: Students: $7.00, Adults $9.00 for the entire day. Only press with a press pass will be allowed to take photos mat-side.
