It's District Cross Country Meet Day! The Bobcats will be headed to the Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course (Located 7 miles west of Ainsworth on Highway 20)! HS Girls will run at 4:00 with HS Boys to follow at 4:45! To qualify for the State Competition:

Texas author, Peg Sundberg "Cowgirl Peg", revisited Summerland Elementary today to talk about her new book. If your child purchased a book, some titles were sent home today with students. Out of stock titles will be mailed to Summerland as soon as Peg gets back to Texas. If you preordered Cowgirl Peg's new book, Cowgirl Peg & the Devil Scorpion, it will be shipped to school around Thanksgiving when it's published.

Brinley is an absolute ray of sunshine! Her bright, positive, happy energy brightens the classroom daily. Brinley is always eager to welcome & greet her friends as well as be their cheerleader. Brinley is always handing out compliments and "I love yous" to her classmates and adults in the building. She definitely shares her happiness with those around her!
Congratulations to Everly (4th) for being today's Bobcat Catch of the Day! She is nominated for her kindness - privately telling her teacher to clip up classmates seen doing kind, good things! What a great example of selfless kindness!
