A HUGE Shout Out to all our Bobcat Summer Reading Challenge students! Your hard work is paying off! We had 12 Students at the Bronze Level -400 minutes, 1 at the Silver Level -800 minutes and 31 at the Gold level -1,000 minutes!! Congrats to all!!

Kindergarten enjoyed planting their catalpa tree today! Thanks James for applying for the grant to give Summerland 10 free trees! What a great experience for our students! It will be fun to see these kindergarteners as seniors next to their tree!
Special shout out to Mr. James Ramold for completing the application that allowed Summerland Public School to receive 10 free trees that were planted along the west side of the service entrance today. Pictured are 4th graders catching a glimpse of a rainbow as they planted their class tree. Each class was able to plant a tree. Arbor Day came early at SPS this year!!

Kindergarten science students are becoming weather watchers! They will be recording the weather for the rest of their science unit! Ask them to say the word “ meteorologist.” They’ve been practicing how to say it while learning what a meteorologist does!

Good Afternoon Summerland Public School families,
Water has been restored to the building. School WILL BE held Tuesday, October 4 beginning at the regular time. Buses will run accordingly, the staff looks forward to seeing everyone in the morning.

Good Morning Summerland Public School families, due to an issue with the well and no water in the building, there will be NO School on Monday, October 3. At this time I’m not sure if the company will be able to complete repairs on Monday, so I will be sending out another message Monday afternoon stating if there will be school or if school will be canceled for Tuesday.
On Monday the shot clinic scheduled for Summerland Public School has been postponed.
All activities that are scheduled for Monday will go on as scheduled. Leave times are listed on the school app. When students arrive at school you will not be allowed to use the restroom due to no water in the building, so please plan accordingly.
