Animal Science students are wrapping up their swine unit. Last week they learned about ear notching as a way to identify a pigs litter and and piglet number. They made their own ears and practiced guessing everyone’s identification numbers!

Parents and Staff, last week on Friday I sent out an email that patrons didn't receive or the email was received with no link. After working with Apptegy this week, the company feels they have solved the glitch. So Parents, Guardians, and staff please check your email as I re-sent the information. Thanks for answering the two questions in the survey. This will help in providing support to the students of Summerland.
The first grade classes have been learning about community helpers in social studies. For the past two weeks we have been able to take it a step further and invite some of the very best into our classroom! We were able to learn from a mechanic, an orthodontist, a chiropractor, a hair stylist, a store owner, a doctor, a grocer, and a couple farmers. We are so thankful that these kind people took time out of their busy schedules to listen to our questions and teach us about what they do everyday to help their communities!
Summerland Public School will have a 10 o'clock late start, tomorrow, Friday, December 9. Buses will run accordingly with shuttle buses leaving the communities at 9:40. There will be no morning practices and Junior High SkillsUSA will not be going to Omaha. Please drive safely.
The JrH Girls BB Games vs West Holt that are scheduled for TONIGHT (Thursday )at Summerland have now been CANCELLED!
