On February 25h both Carlee Livingston and Levi Cronk represented our chapter with their proficiency applications at the first round of State Judging for FFA. Both did exceptionally well! Proficiency Awards recognize the development of technical knowledge and skills that students develop through their Supervised Agricultural Experience programs.
Carlee received a bronze medal with her Beef Production Entrepreneurship application out of a pool of over 40 applicants.
Levi received a top 3 gold medal finalist and will interview at State Convention over his SAE and proficiency application.
Congratulations to both Levi and Carlee! Proficiency applications are long and tedious, both spent countless hours entering records and working on their application to make sure every was just right.
Levi was also awarded the FFA District 4 Star in Agricultural Production a few weeks ago. Levi’s star application then went on to the state level for review. We are excited to announce he has made it as a finalist for the State Star in Agricultural Production! While at the State FFA Convention, Levi will go through an interview over his SAE raising his own herd of registered Boer Goats.
FFA members who have outstanding SAE programs may apply to be a State Star in one area: Production, Agribusiness, Placement, or Agriscience. The Star in production is described as an SAE that consists of an entrepreneurship program in production agriculture; the student must own and/or operate their program.
Congratulations Levi, what a huge accomplishment! We know you will represent our chapter and school well!
